ARC 202 - SPRING 2018
Lake Falls, located in Eastern North Carolina, thrives on picturesque views and channels. Created by weathering and floods, this extensive water network links surrounding land masses. Located on top of Zeagle Rock, an extending Jetty, areas of privacy and seclusion are found amongst expansive views and regulating lines. In the same way, using a transformative sliding of regular shapes, the design creates a swimmers retreat with spaces of intimacy as well as expansive views. Through regulating moments and control of circulation, all programatic spaces are choreographed and linked. A swimmers retreat full of privacy and selected views nestles the experience within an already scenic site.
